Galatea is the leading importer of beer in Sweden and one of the largest suppliers of beer, wine and spirits to our home market. As you probably know, Sweden is one of the few countries around the world with a government-run monopoly for alcoholic beverages. Simply, that means Sweden is a market like no other.
Our knowledge about the monopoly, Systembolaget, is one of a kind and several of our employees are former Systembolaget employees. The system is in constant change, including how they purchase and evaluate products – as a partner you can feel confident that we, and therefore you, are always well informed thanks to our deep knowledge of the ways of working at Systembolaget.
Galatea's presence in the HoReCa-sector is growing fast and we take new market shares every month. We are one of few importers with our own sales force covering the whole market geographically. Our close relationship with our owner, Martin & Servera, is a huge advantage when we want to run nation-wide campaigns and launch new products. Martin & Servera is the leading wholesaler of food and non-food to the HoReCa market in Sweden, and they have well over 50 % of the total restaurants in the Swedish market as regular customers. KGA Logistics is a logistics company that we fully own, the heart of our business. We are proud to have this state-of-the-art warehouse dedicated and specialized in the beverage industry. Efficient logistics can “make it or break it” in a low population density country as we operate in.
KGA Logistics can also support us and our partners with re-packing and re-labelling. This has helped Galatea getting new SKU:s selling in the market without long and costly NPD’s for our partners – we can customize a product from your market to fit the requirements of our market with help from the flexible solutions offered by KGA. At Sigtuna Brewhouse we brew our own local craft beer and we also license brew for a selection of clients. We can also assist with lab tests and other services prior to big Systembolaget launches for our lab at Sigtuna.
Last but not least, we also have our own division for draught beer equipment and sanitation, Still Sparkling Solutions. We offer everything from standardized installations to custom-made, we can handle tank beer solutions and large events.
